Worked perfectly when hooked to my XP box and then perfectly as well when hooked up in my arcade machine to replace a dead hard drive. Its nice to have the shielding around the CF card as well since I use it in an arcade setup where most of the innards are not shielded. The only thing I can complain about is that this unit does not support hot swapping of compact flash cards. If you need an easily mountable non hotswapable unit this is a superb choice for the money. If you require hot swapping though you may want to continue looking.
